SARASIJA SUBRAMANIAN

Sarasija Subramanian

Sarasija Subramanian is an artist based in Bangalore, India, where she is also the editor of Reliable Copy, a publishing house and curatorial practice dedicated to works, projects, and writing by artists. Her research-based practice stems from the desire to re-visit critical moments of the past, which were often of great importance during their time but have since withered in the glare of history. Her projects are guided by an underlying editorial tendency; she engages with the source through gradual additions and subtractions of both text and images, presenting finally an excerpt—or an edited form—of the original.
