Lily
Set of 5 drawings on individual wooden tables, variable dimensions
2025
Lily is born of a studio exercise, where in a momen of not knowing where to start, I began to trace, to translate an image from one page to
another, and then another, and then another, each time shifting the process slightly—thinking f how translation is often spoken of as the closest form of reading; how nothing, however seemingly insignificant, can be taken for granted during the process.
The image is one of lily bulbs between seasons, uprooted and piled in a corner of my mother’s garden, waiting to be repotted, but nevertheless beginning to grow where they lay.
